Olivia Void’s debut EP PHYSICAL

With her debut EP PHYSICAL Experimental Art Pop artist Olivia Void drags us into her very own, slightly psychedelic world. The Berlin based singer uses her unusual voice and songwriting style to talk about the material we are all made of. Void takes us to the darker sides of what can be done to and with our bodies. At the same time, we get to cherish the powers that lie within ourselves.

Recorded in close creative exchange with Berlin musician Christoph Adrian, PHYSICAL is as gloomy and fragile as it is vibrant and forceful. Together with sound engineer Nikolai Schmieder, the four songs were produced over the course of two years at various locations in Germany’s capital city. While each track adds a new and unique shade to the EP, all of them show a great love for detail and a curiosity for strangeness in their arrangement. PHYSICAL consists of the four songs Made for You, Glory to Glory, So Beautiful and Silent Elegy.

Mit ihrer Debüt-EP PHYSICAL entführt uns die experimentelle Art-Pop-Künstlerin Olivia Void in ihre ganz eigene, leicht psychedelische Welt. Die in Berlin lebende Sängerin nutzt ihre ungewöhnliche Stimme und ihren Songwriting-Stil, um über das Material zu sprechen, aus dem wir alle gemacht sind. Void nimmt uns mit zu den dunklen Seiten dessen, was mit und durch unsere Körper geschehen kann. Gleichzeitig ehrt sie all jene Kräfte, die in jedem von uns selbst liegen.

Aufgenommen in engem kreativem Austausch mit dem Berliner Musiker Christoph Adrian, ist PHYSICAL ebenso düster und zerbrechlich wie lebendig und eindringlich. Gemeinsam mit Tontechniker Nikolai Schmieder wurden die vier Songs im Laufe von zwei Jahren an verschiedenen Orten in der Hauptstadt produziert. Während jeder Track der EP eine neue und einzigartige Schattierung hinzufügt, zeugen sie alle von einer großen Liebe zum Detail und einer tiefen Neugierde für das Seltsame in ihrem Arrangement. PHYSICAL besteht aus den Songs Made for You, Glory to Glory, So Beautiful und Silent Elegy.
